What’s New?

Apple released iOS 14 beta 4 and iPadOS 14 beta 4 to the public short while after the developer beta release. This is the first beta release this month and there will be more beta releases until iOS 14 comes out. The new iOS 14 beta 4 comes out with several bug fixes and improvements added. No, any major changes were added but mainly focused on identified bug fixing.

Exposure Notification

A COVID-19 exposure notification system is now available on the iOS 14 beta 4 release. It is a framework designed to inform people of potential exposure to COVID-19. The exposure notification section was added to the main settings section. So Apple fixed this API unsupported issue arisen in previous beta releases.

3D Touch

3D touch feature now available on iOS and iPadOS 14 beta 4 for compatible iPhone models.

New Apple TV Widget

A new widget view for favorite TV shows on the home screen, giving you easy access to the Apple TV app.

Search Experience Improvement

Updating to iOS & iPadOS 14 beta from previous versions of iOS & iPadOS might take significantly longer than expected. Data loss could occur if the update is interrupted. (59101197)

macOS Big Sur 11 beta or Xcode 12 beta might be required to sync or update devices running iOS & iPadOS 14 beta.
